sooo. this dude i met this week read my blog for the first time and said afterward to my roommate 'it seems that daphne hates music,' which is weird and weird and well, not really true cause well, music rules! and i live by that one. so, if anyone who has read the 200 plus posts to this blog is still in confusion - i heart music, and music heart (the best wilsons in the rock world) and eat, sleep, boop boop a doop and shoop music, so get yr head on straight and know it!
i haven't really blogged about it, but MY NEW APARTMENT AND ROOMMATE RULE to the max!!! My roommate (she's the one in the beige shirt, underlit like an angel or a slide!) just broke up with some dude and I just heard her say to her other more serious ex and goodie friend, 'he bought me a copy of vintage violence on vinyl, what have YOU done for me?' and then started giggling. And this is why I love my new apartment. Also, now we have two copies of Vintage Violence.
Pazz and Jop time again, I have one comment in the personals section...I am sort of regretting that I didn't vote for the Killers in some way as I must say that "On Top" makes me want to dance around using a broom as a mic stand, crooning to my house plants and baker's rack.
Also HAPPY MARDI GRAS!!!! this is a mixed day for me as I go to New Orleans nearly every year and this one was just too crazy since I'm going to SXSW and the EMP Pop Conference this spring + due to lunar madness, it is the first week of Feb, which is just too early for me to wear my trad. drunken rock critic crunk bunny costume (it's in storage, you can borrow it if you give me a good crunk bunny haiku).
